Why Dreamville

Not a building. A blueprint.

There are a lot of conversations happening about fixing systems. Very few places where the fixing actually happens. Every person working in government, housing, business, healthcare, or education still needs food — fresh food, consistent food, dignified food. Dreamville is the place that makes that happen, every single day.

Dreamville fixes the ground. The 20,000-square-foot campus in Englewood is DCD's headquarters, food packing and distribution center, expanded cold storage, community gathering space, entrepreneurial coworking hub, and workforce development engine — the proving ground for a new model of community-rooted social enterprise.

A visible investment in a South Side neighborhood too often defined by what has been withheld rather than what can be built within it.
